MUMBAI: Candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in September have been permitted to travel by special suburban train services on both Central and Western railways.
CR’s chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “The ministry of home affairs (MHA) has granted approval for their travel. Admit card of candidates appearing for JEE and NEET will be considered as authorization to enter suburban stations with companions (parents or guardians) on exam days.”
Station and security officials have been instructed to allow students on railway platforms and trains on exam days. He further said additional booking counters will be opened at important railway stations for the convenience of candidates.
