Indranil Banerjee’s 9-minute short film ‘Hello’ is a physiological thriller where a miscommunication between two persons following a phone call leads to a series of errors. It stars Rajib Biswas and Adrija Biswas in key roles. The short film is now an official selection in Best Foreign Language Film at the 7
th Emirates International Short Film Festival.
It all starts with the word ‘Hello’. Soon this seemingly normal misunderstanding gets transformed into an awkward situation in which both are trapped. However, later it was revealed the act was nothing but a case study of a student who has exam the next day but he receives a call and then comes a big surprise. What happens next forms the crux of the story. It’s no doubt an interesting concept from the young director.

Indranil recently made a lockdown short ‘Hakchhoooo’ that talks about a socially relevant subject, especially in this testing time. The film sheds light on the crisis of a family stuck in the nationwide lockdown and the mental battle the family members are fighting.
